Keith gets grand marshal role for NASCAR race

After collecting lots of NHL trophy hardware last month, Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith will serve as Grand Marshal of the LifeLock.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Chicagoland Speedway next week.

Keith, who helped to lead the Blackhawks in capturing the 2010 Stanley Cup, also picked up the Norris Trophy for best all-around performance in the NHL at ceremonies in Las Vegas last month, and he earned a Gold Medal for Canada at Olympic Games in Vancouver last February.

The LifeLock.com 400 race takes place July 10 at the Joliet oval, with the Dollar General 300 for NASCAR's Nationwide Series race on Friday, July 9, also at the Chicagoland Speedway.

"The Blackhawks captivated the entire city and country with their Stanley Cup-winning run and our fans will love to bring Blackhawk fever to the race," said Craig Rust, president, Chicagoland Speedway/Route 66 Raceway in Joliet. "We are honored to have him join us and help us get things going for the Lifelock.com 400." NASCAR weekend packages are now on sale to the general public and can be purchased by calling 888-629-RACE (7223) or logging on to www.chicagolandspeedway.com.
