One charged, another sought in Roselle burglary
Roselle police have charged a Skokie man with stealing items from a car and are hunting for a second person they believe also was involved.
Police said they were called around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday by a man reporting two burglars breaking into his vehicle on the 1100 block of Hygate Lane.
Authorities said they found Daniel R. Reed, 28, of 10107 N. Old Orchard Road, a short time later. They said Reed had items from the burglarized vehicle and matched a description given by the witness.
He was arrested and later charged with one count of burglary by the DuPage County state's attorney's office. Reed was taken to the DuPage jail, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
Police said they still are searching for the second suspect. Officials said no arrest warrant has been issued and the investigation is ongoing.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Detective Pat Stopka at (630) 671-4078.
