Seniors program officials recognize its volunteers

Volunteers from the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and those helping Senior Services were recognized at the annual recognition event on June 3 at the McHenry Country Club in McHenry.

More than 165 active volunteers attended. They were thanked for all the hours they give helping others. Some volunteers help individuals and others assist at nonprofit and community agencies. Last year, 715 active RSVP members reported 83,214 hours of service, which were given to 91 different nonprofit locations throughout McHenry and Kane counties.
