Arlington Hts. schools star in website video

Arlington Heights parents who visit a national website later this summer will see some familiar scenes.

The School Nutrition Association's new website, traytalk.org, will include a short, inspirational video shot mostly at Olive-Mary Stitt Elementary and South Middle School, although the schools and Arlington Heights Elementary District 25 will not be identified. A home scene was shot in Des Plaines.

"The video shows we are all in this together - schools, teachers, home - to make kids healthy," said Theresa Renaldi, a spokeswoman for the association.

The website showcases innovations in school nutrition around the country and offer a forum for sharing ideas.

Coletta Hines-Newell, director of food services for District 25, was named director of the year in 2009 by the Illinois School Nutrition Association.

The food service website for District 25 is www.ahsd25.k12.il.us/food service/.
