Library vacancy:The Gail Borden Library board has a vacancy for a seat that will be filled by appointment until the April 2011 election. As many as 350,000 acres in McHenry County and Walworth County, Wis., will be considered for inclusion in the refuge. The area under consideration is home to many rare plant and animal species. The presentation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 13. Call (815) 459-6010.Dance, dance, dance:The Gould Academy of Dance Arts of Elgin will stage its 27th annual production, "Radio City USA," at 7 p.m. June 19 and 3 p.m. June 20 at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin. The production will include dancers age 2 to adult performing a variety of genres. Tickets may be purchased at the academy, 732 W. Chicago St., Elgin, and will also be sold at the door. Prices are $13 for children and $20 for adults. Adult price at the door is $21. Group rates are available. The church is at 9009 W. Algonquin Road. Books, toys, clothes, household items, holiday decorations, furniture and more will be for sale. For $3, you can also fill a bag with whatever you want, but this is only from noon until 2 p.m. You can make donations to the church from 4 to 8 p.m. June 9 and 10.
