Blackhawks celebration parade details

A parade honoring The Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

According to a release from the city's Office of Emergency Management and Communication, the ticker-tape procession and rally will start at Wacker Drive and Washington Street. It will then proceed east on Washington to Michigan Avenue, before heading north on Michigan to Wacker Drive.

The rally is scheduled to begin about 11:30 a.m. at Wacker and Michigan.

Additional details will be announced by city officials Thursday morning.

Fans should note that the Crosstown Classic between the Cubs and the White Sox opens Friday at Wrigley Field at 1:20 p.m. Friday, so public transportation is urged.
