Gurnee police enforcement results:Gurnee police on Monday announced results from a special enforcement campaign, May 14 through May 31. Officers typically focused on safety restraint use from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. during the effort in targeted zones in various sections of Gurnee. Cops found 100 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations during the special enforcement period. Police also made a warrant arrest. As part of a nationwide "Click it or Ticket" campaign by all Gurnee patrol officers in May, police reported 405 seat belt violations and 35 child restraint violations.Grayslake doc popular with patients:Dr. Robert Rosenberg, who has offices in Grayslake, has received the Patient's Choice Award from the New Jersey-based Vitals organization for the second consecutive year. An obstetrics/gynecology physician, Rosenberg was selected based on online feedback from patients responding to a Vitals survey. Vitals collects feedback about medical experiences from about 40,000 patients monthly. Rosenberg was rated on his bedside manner, doctor-patients face time, degree of follow-up and courtesy to his staff, Vitals officials said. Rosenberg is affiliated with Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.Fielders' home at college has lights, no alcohol:Lighting has been installed at the baseball diamond at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., where the minor league Lake County Fielders have signed a contract to play 15 home games in June because the team's Zion facilities are not yet ready. Carthage sports spokesman Steve Marovich said Monday the field's lights were installed about two weeks ago. Marovich said the college's diamond has seats for 372 fans, but does not have a designated lawn area for viewing. He said beer, wine or other alcohol are not sold at the field. He said fans aren't allowed to bring in their own alcohol. The Fielders are to play the Gary SouthShore Railcats at Carthage in their independent Northern League home opener at 7 p.m. Friday. Zion officials and the Fielders originally said the team would play in a $15 million 4,000-seat stadium with amenities such as suites, pub-style seats, party decks, concert stage and lawn area for 3,000 fans. The latest plan calls for the team to play on a field with temporary seats at Route 173 and Green Bay Road in Zion starting July 2.Learn about school financing:Libertyville-Vernon Hills Area High School District 128 officials will host a program called School Finance 101 for district residents. Officials will try to demystify concepts such as levies, tax caps and tax rates, all of which are important to school financing. The class will run from 7 to 9 p.m. June 14 at the district's main office, 50 Lakeview Parkway, Suite 101, Vernon Hills. Anyone planning to attend should call (847) 247-4519.
