NHL, NBA Finals ratings up
NEW YORK -- The Blackhawks' big win earned the highest preliminary television rating for a nonovertime Game 5 in the Stanley Cup finals in eight years.
Chicago's 7-4 victory over the Flyers on Sunday night on NBC drew a 4.0 overnight rating and 7 share. That's up 54 percent from the 2.6 for Game 5 of the Detroit-Pittsburgh series last year. It's the best for a Game 5 that didn't go to OT since a 4.5 for Carolina-Detroit in 2002, before the NHL lockout.

In the NBA, The Celtics' series-tying win earned the highest preliminary rating for Game 2 of an NBA finals since 2004.
Boston's 103-94 victory Sunday night on ABC drew a 10.9 overnight rating. That's up 10 percent from the 9.9 for last year's Magic-Lakers Game 2.
