Hanover Park man charged with murder
A 26-year-old Hanover Park man has been charged with a 2005 murder on Chicago's west side.
Chicago police spokesman Daniel O'Brien said Chicago officers went to Hanover Park and arrested Jose Cruz, of the 1800 block of Whitney Drive, on Wednesday.
Cruz is accused of shooting 24-year-old Alexander Padilla once in the head on Nov. 16, 2005, on the 1700 block of North Central Park Avenue, O'Brien said.
Cruz's bond was set at $1 million.
