BP waiting for government to act

President Obama was once extolling green energy and alternate sources of energy instead of oil. He then did a quick reversal and announced that we will start drilling offshore.

Just days later, however, after the Gulf spill, he immediately changed the tune to no drilling offshore. He then proceeded to reprimand BP for its delay in closing the leak, yet, he is only temporarily holding off on future offshore drilling for six months.

I believe that BP purposely dragged their feet in plugging the hole, as long as some oil was being recovered. BP was likely hoping that Obama and our government would step in and save BP the trouble and expense of stopping the problem. Let's see if we do get stuck with their problem.
