Clothes, toys on the cheap in Algonquin
Christ United Methodist Church is holding a rummage sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 12. The church is at 9009 W. Algonquin Road. Books, toys, clothes, household items, holiday decorations, furniture and more will be for sale. For $3, you can also fill a bag with whatever you want, but this is only from noon until 2 p.m. You can make donations to the church from 4 to 8 p.m. June 9 and 10. Free hearing tests in Cary
The Cary Lions Club from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 7, is sponsoring the Lions of Illinois' hearing van, which will be parked on Route 14 in front of the Jewel grocery store in Cary. Huntley hosts 5K
Registration is open for the Huntley Youth Sports Organization's 2010 Run through the Sun. The event includes a 10K and a walk/run 5K as well as a 1-mile fun run for kids. The event starts at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, June 6. The race starts at Regency Parkway and Farm Hill Drive and continues through Del Webb's Sun City.
