One hurt in Wood Dale motorcycle accident
One man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Wood Dale late Wednesday night.
Sgt. Mike Rivas of the Wood Dale Police Department said the unidentified motorcyclist was driving eastbound on Irving Park Road at about 10 p.m.
Wednesday night when a collision took place with a pick-up truck that was heading in the same direction.
The motorcyclist - who wasn't wearing a helmet - was taken from the scene to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where his condition is unknown, Rivas said.
Police are still investigating to determine if the motorcyclist veered into the lane in which the pickup was traveling, or whether the pickup swerved into the motorcycle, Rivas said.
He said no citations have been issued at this point.
