Class 4A Willowbrook regional: No. 14 Bartlett (12-20) defeated No. 19 Glenbard East 3-2 in Bartlett to advance to Wednesday's regional semifinal against No. 3 Willowbrook (23-10). The Hawks fell behind 2-0 but halved the deficit with a run in the fourth inning on Joey Miceli's seeing-eye single. They took the lead in the fifth when junior Ryan Yore's single scored Greg Partyka and Phil Leonard. Senior Alex Raver (2-5) earned the win in relief of Matt DiCianni. Raver held the Rams to 2 hits, walked none and struck out 3 in 4 1/3 innings.

Class 3A Hampshire regional: No. 5 Hampshire (16-17) scored 10 runs on 14 hits to upset Western Sun Conference tri-champion Kaneland 10-6 in a play-in game on the Knight's home field. Ron Laramie, Jared Wienke, Marcus Quick, Ryan DeChant, Max Shaw and Tyler Crater each had 2 hits. Senior Ryan Burke (6-5) held Kaneland to 3 runs through the first 6 innings until he tired, and Luke Wians got the final two outs to end the game. Hampshire advances to face No. 1 Burlington Central (30-2) in a regional semifinal on Wednesday.

Hersey 9, South Elgin 2: Of South Elgin's 6 hits, senior John Menken's double was the only one for extra bases for the Storm (18-14), who dropped their seventh straight in this nonconference playoff tuneup.

St. Charles East 10, Westminster Christian 0: Frank Oliver had the only hit for the Warriors (25-10) in a five-inning nonconference loss in St. Charles.

Jacobs 5, Evanston 4: Sophomore Henry Gigeous (3-4) held the Wildkits to 1 earned run on 5 hits in 6 innings and struck out 6 without a walk. Ben Albano went 2-for-4 and drove in a run, Anthony Virgilio had 2 RBI and Josh Kranz went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI for Jacobs (19-15-1).
