Bartlett pounded out 20 hits Thursday and rolled over Waubonsie Valley 17-0 in five innings to secure second place in the Upstate Eight Conference softball race.

The Hawks (24-8, 17-3) won for the sixth straight time and for the ninth time in their last 10 games.

Megan Morales, Lisa Matsie, Lauren Chuchvara and Jacki Gulczynski each had doubles for Bartlett and Callie Dennison (20-5) tossed a 2-hitter with 5 strikeouts. Every batter in Bartlett's lineup had at least 1 hit as the Hawks pounded out 20 hits in the game.

Bartlett will take today off and then is scheduled to play Sandburg and Normal West on Saturday in the Stone City Jamboree in Minooka.

Richmond 10, Hampshire 0: The Whip-Purs had just 4 hits and made 5 errors in this Big Northern East loss. Tiffany Bentley, Grace Jakubowski, Katie Mazur and Allie Bosley had hits for Hampshire (7-23, 0-10). Katelyn Bruscato was the losing pitcher.
