AFL's Rush looks to snap losing streak against Dallas

With a two-game losing streak fed by breakdowns and turnovers, the Chicago Rush looks to get back to is winning ways when it travels to Texas to take on the Dallas Vigilantes in an Arena Football matchup Saturday night at American Airlines Center.

Kickoff between the Rush (4-2) and the Vigilantes (1-4) is set for 7:30 p.m., with a webcast of the game available at www.arenarush.com

While Dallas fell at Jacksonville 70-49 last weekend, the Rush was tripped up at Allstate Arena by the visiting Iowa Barnstormers, 44-30.

Much like the previous week's loss in Milwaukee, turnovers were the story as the Rush gave up the ball over four times, including a career-high 3 interceptions from quarterback Russ Michna.

Iowa (3-3) scored on its opening play from scrimmage - a 48-yard TD pass from Ryan Vena to Errick McCown - and never looked back, leading every step of the way.

After throwing just 3 interceptions in the team's first four games, Michna has thrown 5 interceptions in the past two weeks.

For the season, Michna has completed 115 of 182 passes for 1,718 yards and 33 touchdowns, while throwing 8 interceptions.

Wide receiver Samie Parker, who signed with the Rush just after training camp started, has become Michna's favorite target.

In six games, Parker leads the team with 40 catches for 614 yards and 8 touchdowns.

A fourth-round draft choice of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2004, Parker spent four seasons in Kansas City, catching 110 passes for 1,529 yards and 7 TDs. After leaving KC, Parker had stints with the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders before playing with the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives in 2009.
