Why no protests in Mexico?
All I have read in the papers lately is demonstrators protesting immigration reform, upset with Arizona's new law protesting that.
I have not read or seen anywhere, (I might be mistaken) about these people who are so concerned with immigration rights and illegals in this country protesting in Mexico or having demonstrations over there making their rights also known. Why, if these people are so dissatisfied with how the country is run with the immigrations laws and protesting for immigration reform, don't they go to Mexico and voice their concerns and opinions over there also?
If reform for people wanting to leave Mexico and become legal citizens is a difficult process, then should people protesting not be over in Mexico demanding immigration reform over there, so people wanting to leave legally, can go through the legal process of becoming a citizen do that?
When my grandparents came to this country they had to go through so much to become citizens here. Now we should just turn our heads and let people enter illegally and accept this, give them free medical and all kinds of benefits that people who are here legally have to pay for? If the system is broken in Mexico then they need to work with that country and try to fix it and go through the proper channels to become legal citizens. If I entered Mexico Illegally what would happen to me? Could I protest and demand that they change the rules for me. Could I?
