Bears sign 7th-round draft pick Webb to four-year deal
The Bears signed offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb to a four-year contract today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Webb was selected by the Bears in the seventh round (218th overall) in the 2010 NFL Draft. He was a two-year starter (2008-09) at West Texas A&M at left tackle.
Prior to his time at West Texas A&M, Webb played at Navarro (Texas) College in 2007, where he was a first-team NJCAA all-America selection, and at the University of Texas, where he appeared in 12 games as a true freshman in 2006.
Webb is among the first of the 255 2010 NFL Draft picks to sign with their respective team.
Chicago was the first team in the NFL to sign all of their draft picks in two of the previous four years (2006 and 2009).
