Arizona law is disgusting
In regard to the recent passage of Arizona Senate Bill 1070. This is one of the most disgusting pieces of legislation I've ever heard of. Now, police officers there will be able to demand papers from anyone that looks like they may be here illegally.
I guess the minutemen just couldn't handle border control, after all.
I shouldn't be surprised, though. Republican backlash against all that is progressive or humane has caused such a virulent division among us, that hatred and anger can now be considered valid reasons to enact a law against those we blame for our economic problems.
Let's pick on those least able to defend themselves. We can't force a greedy bank CEO out of the country, after all.
I never thought I would see the day when people would proudly carry guns to presidential speeches, and members of Congress would be spit upon, but there it is. And it's horrifying. Where exactly is it that these people want to take the country back to?
And would someone please explain what type of training is going to tell a police officer how to recognize an illegal immigrant, if not by race.
I can't wait to see how they pick out the whites who are here illegally.
