Two prominent Naperville developers die
Naperville has lost two prominent developers who each helped shape the city.
Norman Rubin and John Fry died a day apart, Rubin at the age of 80 and Fry, who battled Parkinson's disease, at 87.
"They were both great leaders and developers in the community and both had a lot of vision for what Naperville has become and will continue to be," said John Schmitt, president and CEO of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.
A memorial service for Fry will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa, Naperville, followed by a reception. Internment will be private. Services for Rubin were held in California earlier this week.
