Qdoba Grill opens eatery

VERNON HILLS - Qdoba Mexican Grill has opened at 700 E. Townline Road, Vernon Hills. Michael Pranke, a Wisconsin native, is the owner of the Lake County franchise, bringing his total number of stores to 32. Founded in Denver in 1995, the fast-casual chain with more than 500 restaurants in 43 states continues to expand. Despite the economy, the company opened more than 50 restaurants in 2009. Other area Qdoba grills, known for Naked Burritos, tacos and grilled quesadillas, can be found in Schaumburg, Wheaton and Woodridge.
