Redskins sign ex-Bears linebacker

ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have signed free agent linebacker Chris Draft.

Draft, who played for the Bears in 1998, joined the Redskins on Friday for the start of the team's three-day minicamp.

Washington is Draft's seventh NFL team. He has played with Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Carolina, St. Louis and Buffalo over 12 seasons.

He spent last year with Buffalo, playing in 11 games and starting three.
