Boating safety classes set

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 7-11 has scheduled a series of two-day basic boating safety classes over the next couple of months at Holy Ghost Church, 254 N. Wood Dale Road in Wood Dale.

Each two-class session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on consecutive Saturdays. This year's remaining sessions will be May 15 and 22, June 19 and 26 and July 24 and 31.

The cost is $40-$50 per person. Participating children must be at least 12 years old. To register, call Marlene at (630) 860-2975.

During the sessions, free vessel safety checks are also available by appointment.
