Vikes sign former Iowa State wideout Hamilton
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings say they've signed former Iowa State receiver Marquis Hamilton.
Hamilton led the Cyclones with 50 receptions last season but wasn't selected in last month's NFL Draft.
Hamilton impressed the Vikings during a recent tryout camp. Minnesota vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman says Hamilton has good size and good ability catching the ball.
The 6-foot-3-inch Hamilton is an Oklahoma City native. His 127 career receptions ranks seventh in Iowa State history.
