Are the Hawks in Luongo's head?
Q. Are the Blackhawks in Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo's head?A. I don't know. I think Roberto Luongo has been around the block long enough that he's not going to let the Blackhawks bother him until it happens. If you're the Blackhawks - and Vancouver - you certainly want to force the issue in the crease area around the net. That's how other teams have talked about being successful in the postseason, and that's how you score goals.Q. Thus the move of Dustin Byfuglien back to forward. You like that move?A. I think it's a good time to make that adjustment. With Brian Campbell back in the lineup you have more options back on defense than what you were limited with before Campbell returned. And with Kim Johnsson out too, your depth was being tested and it was an opportunity to move Dustin back and fill that role for a while. The option for Joel Quenneville is to have Dustin back in the lineup at forward and if something happens during the game, you know you can put him back on defense.Q. Is the bigger story of this series skill vs. skill or grinders vs. grinders?A. It's all going to come into play in this series. I think of all the series going on in Round 2, I think this has probably the highest entertainment value. You've got skill on both teams, no doubt about that, and you also have very good role players and supporting casts. It's all going to come into play. The Blackhawks certainly have to be aware of shutting down the Sedins and Vancouver's other top players. And is Vancouver going to be able to take away the skill and the offense that the Blackhawks will be throwing at them? There are so many factors in this series.
