Students unveil magazine:Aurora University students read their works from the spring issue of "Lorem Ipsum," a creative writing magazine, from 6 to 8 tonight at Prisco's Next Door Caf#233;, 1118 Prairie St., Aurora. Call (630) 844-4934.DaVinci Academy benefit:DaVinci Academy in Elgin will host its annual benefit auction Saturday at the St. Charles Country Club, 1250 Country Club Road, St. Charles. The theme is "Night of Knights" and celebrates the gifted preschool and grade school's 10th anniversary. The event features raffles and both live and silent auctions. Raffle items include a 52-inch flat screen television and an iMac computer. Meet in the parking lot for Clark Island Park on Route 25 south of Wilson Street. This cleanup will focus on shoreline and river cleanup. Trash bags will be provided. A few canoes are needed, as are volunteers experienced in removal of trash from the river. Those with waders should bring them. Filmore St. You do not have to live in Elburn to participate. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service. Coffee, iced tea and lemonade are provided. Cards, bingo and other games are played. Dues are $15 per year, of which $5 goes toward the annual pork chop dinner in August and $10 for a Christmas party. The club has a picnic in July. Call (630) 879-7898.
