Canucks thinking Hawks
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The puck hadn't even dropped in Game 6 between the Blackhawks and the Predators and the Vancouver Canucks already were looking forward to a second-round meeting with the Hawks.
"That's kind of been on our mind for a year now," Canucks defenseman Shane O'Brian told the Vancouver Province.
The Canucks, who wrapped up their first-round series in six games against Los Angeles on Sunday night, still remember last spring's second-round series when the Hawks ran them out of the playoffs in six games.
Game 6 at the United Center was particularly painful to the Canucks, who lost it 7-5 thanks to a late Chicago rally that was capped by Patrick Kane's hat-trick goal.
"There's still a lot of hockey to be played, but if it's Chicago, I think if you ask everyone in this room who was here last year they'd tell you we'd love another shot at them," O'Brien said.
