Unoccupied Woodridge home consumed by flames
A two-story house in Woodridge was declared uninhabitable following a fire late Thursday, authorities said.
Firefighters were called to the 3800 block of Hagen Court at 10:46 p.m., officials said.
The first unit arrived on the scene seven minutes later to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the garage and the second floor.
Firefighters said they searched the building, but no one was inside.
The fire was under control and extinguished within 30 minutes, officials said. The house was determined to be uninhabitable by fire officials on the scene.
The Lisle-Woodridge fire department was assisted by firefighters from Naperville, Lombard, Wheaton and Darien-Woodridge.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, officials said.
