Palatine to fill library vacancy

The Palatine Public Library District Board of Library Trustees is moving to fill a vacancy created when Trustee Katherine Thomas resigned to move out of the district.

The person appointed will serve until the new board is seated in May 2011. Application materials are available online at palatinelibrary.org.

Paper copies are available at the Palatine Public Library District Administrative Offices, 700 N. North Court from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Interested persons may apply via e-mail to board President Carol Barnes at cbarnes@palatinelibrary.org. or by mail to the above address.

All application materials must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, May 10.

Applicants will be interviewed at a special board meeting the evening of Wednesday, May 19.
