At least Esau got a pot of stew

We all remember the extravagant ceremony of President Obama signing the health care bill. There was Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Congressman Bart Stupak (D. Michigan) smiling triumphantly.

The next day, in a closed door affair and with no cameras present, President Obama, Bart Stupack and a few other turncoats watched as Obama signed a worthless piece of paper, which supposedly barred federal funding for abortions. They all knew that the funding was in the bill that they had crammed through with lots of bribes and under-the-table deals. Why the need for the secrecy?

Where was the "transparency" that had been promised by this administration? Why do men love darkness rather than light? Is it because their deeds are evil?

The Stupak Swindle, and those who went along with him, will forever stand as a symbol of blatant sellout of his purported principles of being "pro-life."

Esau in the Bible sold his valuable birthright for a pot of lentil stew (Genesis 25:34). Congressman Stupak now has lost the respect of his district and will not run again, all for a worthless piece of paper. Esau at least got a pot of stew.
