Elginbull; Police arrested an Elgin man Thursday on accusations he attacked his girlfriend's 13-year-old brother with a pair of scissors. Victor Robledo, 18, of the 0-100 block of South Weston Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery in the March 26 incident. According to police reports, Robledo and the teenager got into a fight because the boy asked Robledo to leave a house in the 400 block of Ryerson Street after Robledo began cutting his own chest with a pair of scissors. The teenager sustained an 8-inch cut on his forearm, a small cut on his stomach and a bloody nose, police said. The fight occurred soon after Robledo got into an argument with his girlfriend and broke dishes over his own head, reports state. His bond was set at $50,000. bull; Jacob Munoz, a homeless man living in Elgin, faces a felony charge alleging he tried to take a police officer's gun while being arrested Thursday for trespassing at the Butera grocery store in the 0 to 100 block of Clock Tower Plaza, reports state. Munoz is charged with disarming a police officer, resisting a police officer and criminal trespass to property. His bond was set Friday morning at $80,000 and he is due in court April 16 at the Kane County Judicial Center. Disarming a police officer is a Class 2 felony that carries a prison sentence ranging between three and seven years. bull; Tracy L. Jackowiak, 29, of the 700 block of South Point Drive, Schaumburg, was arrested on a drug charge Thursday after police said officers found her with 3.4 grams of cocaine during a traffic stop. Jackowiak, who said she is a special-education teacher at Proviso West High School in Hillside, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended license. In bond court Friday morning, Jackowiak said she bought the drugs at Route 31 and Walnut Avenue for her boyfriend and was driving home to give them to him when she was pulled over. A judge set her bond at $2,000 and gave her an April 28 court date at the Kane County Judicial Center. bull; Eddie R. Watters, 54, of the 1400 block of Kaskaskia Avenue, Elgin, faces a felony count of unlawful use of a credit card Thursday alleging he charged more than $300 in merchandise on someone else's credit card between March 22 and March 24. His bond was set at $20,000 and he is due in court April 16.bull; A United States Postal Service worker told police someone shot paint balls at his USPS truck Thursday afternoon while he was driving in the 1100 block of Hunter Drive, leaving pink, orange and white paint on the truck's rear door. The suspects were last seen driving away from the scene in a maroon-colored SUV.Algonquinbull; Police arrested three students at Heineman Middle School, in the 700 block of Academic Drive, on drug and alcohol charges Tuesday. A 13-year-old Huntley boy was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and two Huntley boys, one 12 and the other 13, were charged with possession of marijuana. They were petitioned into juvenile court and released to their parents.Huntleybull; Two 15-year-old girls from Huntley were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor after an early morning drinking session Wednesday left one girl hospitalized, authorities said. Police say the girls started to drink at home, then took a bottle of wine to Huntley High School on the bus. They continued to drink at school before one of the girls became ill, police said. An adult staffer "could smell it and it was pretty obvious what happened," Police Chief John Perkins said. The sick girl was taken to the hospital about 8:30 a.m. and is doing fine now, police said. The girl who brought the wine also was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. The girls were released to their parents. Huntley Principal Dave Johnson said the high school also meted out "significant" punishment to the girls. While he declined to go into specifics. Johnson said the girls were no longer in school.
