Streamwood blanks Larkin

Streamwood was able to find the back of the net twice Wednesday afternoon and blanked Larkin 2-0 in an Upstate Eight Conference girls soccer match at Millennium Field.

Amy Tyszkiewicz got the Sabres going in the 30th minute as she netted what would eventually be the game-winning goal while freshman Sharice Ellenwood scored an insurance goal in the 25th minute of the second half. Gillian Toomey and Sara Kemp played solid in the backfield to lead the Sabres' defensive efforts and Brianna Roppo recorded 6 saves in goal to preserve the shutout victory.
