St. Charlesbull; Police found a steak knife on the playground of Munhall Elementary School on Sunday, according to reports. Police also found damage to a section of the wooden fence that surrounds the area. bull; Someone stole the handicap parking placard from a vehicle parked at Walmart, 150 Smith Road, on March 25, police said.bull; Gang graffiti was found on the lobby walls of a building on the 100 block of Walut Drive Sunday, according to police.bull; Christina M. Carlson, 25, of the 2500 block of Adelia Lane in West Chicago, was charged with theft Monday, according to a police report. Police responded to a call of an unresponsive woman in a taxi cab to find Carlson passed out in the back of a cab parked in a Jewel-Osco parking lot. The police report indicates Carlson was too intoxicated to respond despite the police shaking her and yelling that they were the police. Paramedics came to check Carlson out. She continually told police, "I plead the fifth" after being told she needed to pay the cabdriver or call someone to bring her money to pay the cabdriver. She refused to cooperate and was arrested on charges of her inability to pay the $12.50 cab fare.Kane Countybull; A 90-year-old St. Charles-area woman reported her handicap parking placard stolen March 21, according to police. The report was taken on the 36W300 block of Barton Drive. bull; A DVD player and GPS valued at $200 each were reported stolen March 22 from a vehicle on the 0N400 block Sulley Drive near Geneva, police said.bull; A Sirius Stiletto 2 satellite radio valued at $199 was reported stolen March 22 from a vehicle on the 00N600 block of Titus Place, near Geneva, according to a police report.bull; Deadra D. Block, 46, of the 1500 block of North Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, was charged with improper lane use and driving under the influence of drugs after crashing a Hyundai into a utility pole and tree about 9:35 p.m. Sunday in the area of Big Timber and Damisch roads near Elgin, police said. According to a police report, Block tested positive for cocaine at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, then left "against the doctor's orders" with an IV still in her arm, police said. The citations were to be issued by mail.Elginbull; Joseph P. Liss, 19, of the 100 block of North Airlite Street, Elgin, was charged with forgery Tuesday for cashing a $2,300 check that did not belong to him, police said. His bond was set Wednesday at $10,000 and he is due in court April 9 at the Kane County Judicial Center.bull; On Monday, someone spray painted gang graffiti on a garage on the 600 block of Jay Street, police said. bull; A woman discovered several pieces of her gold jewelry at a local pawnshop Monday and determined that her daughter was involved in selling the jewelry to the shop, according to police reports. Two inlaid diamond rings and a maroon bracelet that the woman said were hers, were on display at the shop.bull; A man in the 300 block of Illinois Avenue fired three shots at a black pickup truck at about 4:24 p.m. Tuesday, reports said. No injuries were reported and no immediate arrests were made, reports said.bull; Someone shot a detached garage in the 400 block of State Street at least eight times with a BB or pellet gun between March 14 and Sunday, reports said. bull; Someone stolen a GPS device from a 2007 Toyota Camry in the 500 block of State Street between 7 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, reports said.
