Do simple things for Earth's sake

Hello, I am Joshua Leone. I'm writing this letter as a concerned citizen. I am concerned about the Earth. You should and you can help preserve the Earth. Also the reason I write now is because of Earth Hour (8:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 27) and Earth Day (April 22).

There area reasons you should participate in Earth Day/Hour. We, and by we I mean all the people on Earth, make the Earth hotter by 1 degree F. every year. That is because of all of us are pumping 26 billion tons of CO2 into the air every year. All you have to do is simply turn off unnecessary lights and unused machines. As soon as you're done typing the stories turn off the computer, and when done printing turn off the printer. Also, you may think one year of a temperature rise isn't that much, but think after 50 or 100 years. Eventually it will add up and the heat will be felt immensely.

Please remember, the purpose of this letter is to participate in this year's Earth Day/Hour. It is a huge deal. If we don't stop releasing 26 billion tons of C02 a year and turn off unnecessary machines there will be flash floods everywhere, global warming will not end, and all other major disasters will double in frequency. So again, please participate in Earth Day/Hour.
