Not enough coverage of our legislators

Our elected representatives Mark Beaubien and Michael Tryon and senators Pamela Althoff and Dan Duffy met with our community to discuss the status of the state. It was my understanding that The Daily Herald was invited to the event, but there was no representation from the Herald to pass on the information presented at the meeting.

It seems to me the only news covered is the continued press to raise taxes and not across-the-board cuts of 10 percent to resolve the terrible situation Michael Madigan has put this state in.

Madigan has not even spoken to Tom Cross in two years. Their solutions have not worked, and obtaining additional ideas from the other side might be in order.

It seems strange to me these situations have not been reported to the extent that they need to be. It seems strange to me that when these leaders engage in conversation with the community that you are not part of it.

Hopefully Mr. Brady will get some coverage in your newspaper. I think it's more important than the tie Quinn is wearing.
