Buffalo Grovebull; Thieves took a 4- by 6-foot white, enclosed trailer from the east parking lot of OMNI Youth Services in the 1100 block of Lake-Cook Road sometime between 6 p.m. March 15 and 8 a.m. March 16. The trailer was filled with camping gear for an upcoming trip. It was secured with a chain and lock that had been cut and thrown to the side. bull; A resident of the 600 block of Wyngate reported March 16 that a man came to the front door and said he was with the building and zoning department. The subject told the resident the shed on the property is not on the survey. The man did not have an ID and walked to the rear of the yard to look at the shed. The resident contacted the village and learned that no employee had visited the home. The man was driving a light-colored truck.Des Plainesbull; Erdell Anderson, 48, of the 100 block of 155th Street, Calumet City, was arrested around 5 p.m. March 17 in a city parking lot at the police department, 1420 E. Miner St., and charged with aggravated assault and resisting a peace officer. An officer in the parking lot saw Anderson speed down the alley north of the police station, reports said. Anderson drove into the parking lot and swerved around the officer when ordered to stop, reports said. Anderson finally stopped the car when the officer stood in front of it, reports said. When the officer walked to the driver's-side door to take Anderson's driver's license, Anderson tried to drive away and the officer had to grab onto the car to keep from falling under the vehicle, police said. The car moved 10 to 15 feet and came to a stop, reports said. A court date is April 6.bull; Chanel Lakatosz, 21, and Rosa Lakatosz, 23, both of the 13700 block of Lucky Lake Drive, Lake Forest, were arrested around 3:50 p.m. March 17 at a home on the 0-100 block of West Dempster Street and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer. The two women pounded on the front door and rang the doorbell, terrifying the 84-year-old female resident, reports said. She phoned 911 crying hysterically. The two women gave the officer fake names and said they were friends of the family, reports said, but the victim denied their claim. bull; Christopher D. Tate, 23, of the 1000 block of Tamarack Drive, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 8:15 p.m. March 15 on the 400 block of West Dempster Street and charged with city ordinance possession of marijuana and illegal transportation of alcohol. The officer saw Tate, a passenger in the car, pour marijuana onto the car floor next to an open can of beer, reports said. His court date is April 28.bull; Burglars broke into a 2002 Oldsmobile van in a lot on the 900 block of Beau Drive between March 15 and 16 and stole a satellite radio and GPS unit. Loss was estimated at $530.bull; Thieves stole a 15-foot copper downspout valued over $200 from the rear of a church building at 766 S. Graceland Ave. between midnight and 8 a.m. March 15.Mount Prospectbull; Brian G. Rustemeyer, 21, last known address of the 1700 block of Olive Street, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. March 14 at the police department, 112 E. Northwest Hwy., and charged with theft. Reports said he stole a TV valued at $584 out of a friend's home on the 300 block of North Main Street around 5 p.m. March 13. Police said he took the TV because of a debt and pawned it for $170. Police said when Rustemeyer was confronted on the phone by the victim, he said he would return the TV. Rustemeyer went to the Mount Prospect Walmart and stole a TV to replace the one he had stolen from his friend, reports said. His court date is April 15. bull; Sharon K. Martin, 41, of the 100 block of North Forrest Avenue, Arlington Heights, was arrested around 2:35 p.m. March 16 at Costco, 999 N. Elmhurst Road, and charged with retail theft. Store security said she took DVDs, magazines, and batteries, reports said. Value is estimated at $130. Her court date is May 6.bull; Jonathan A. Mitchell, 26, of the 1400 block of South Busse Road, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 5:25 p.m. March 16 at Willow and Tamarack and charged with local ordinance possession of marijuana. His court date is April 28.bull; Alfonso E. Acosta, 25, of the 1200 block of South Elmhurst Road, Mount Prospect, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. March 14 in his apartment building parking lot and charged with possession of marijuana. His court date is May 7.bull; Burglars pried open doors at a home on the 1000 block of Ash Drive around 8:50 p.m. March 13, setting off a security alarm. The burglars stole a diamond ring, gold ring, brown wallet, gold cross necklace and cash. Value was estimated at $33,300. A police dog tracked an offender to Cypress Drive, but lost the scent just south of Golf Road.
