Pat Brady re-elected state Republican chairman
Pat Brady of St. Charles was unanimously re-elected chairman of the Illinois Republican Party Central Committee Saturday in Springfield.
Committee members endorsed Brady's leadership in hopes of leading a GOP renaissance in the state as the fall general election approaches. "I am honored to continue leading Illinois Republicans as we head into what promises to be an exciting, competitive campaign," Brady said. He promised "an aggressive campaign" to return the governor's office and the junior U.S. Senate seat to Republican control.
Area members of the committee include Eugene Dawson of Barrington in the 8th congressional district, Jack Dorgan of Rosemont in the 9th, Roger Claar of Bolingbrook in the 13th and Jim Oberweis of Sugar Grove in the 14th.
