• Police responded to two incidents in which cable company equipment was stolen from the Highland Woods subdivision, reports said. In the first, supply boxes valued at $1,200 each were stolen between 12:01 and 4 a.m. Thursday from the 700 block of Goodfield Landing, reports said. Also, another power supply and a supply node, a total value of $11,500, were stolen from a lot near Highland Woods Boulevard and Goodfield, reports said.
• Someone stole an iPhone, valued at $500, at about 12:28 p.m. Thursday from a wireless phone display case in a booth at the Elgin Mall, 308 S. McLean Blvd., reports said.
• Someone smashed the rear lift gate window on a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer at the Metra station lot, 85 National St., between 10:30 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. Thursday, reports said.
• Nohel Magana, 20, of the 100 block of Fullerton Avenue, Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a driver's license at 7:52 p.m. Thursday at the Grand Victoria Casino, reports said. He is due in court on April 19.
• Duane C. Johnson, Jr., 53, of the 500 block of Chicago Street, Elgin, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 8:40 p.m. Thursday after banging on a door and threatening a resident in the 500 block of Chicago Street, reports said. He is due in court on April 23, reports said.
Kane Countybull; A 1997 Ford Expedition valued at $5,000 was reported stolen Wednesday from the 10N800 block Hawthorne Street in an unincorporated area near Elgin, according to police reports.
