Institute holds metals meetings
The Central States Chapter of the Metals Service Center Institute will hold the first of a series of town hall meetings on threats to North American manufacturing. The meeting will be at 3 p.m. April 19 at Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
The meetings are designed to alert the metals and manufacturing communities to pressing public policy issues and ways to respond to them. Confirmed speakers include: Bill Jones, vice chairman of O'Neal Industries of Birmingham, Ala., and the Institute's chairman; Bill Hickey, president of Lapham-Hickey Steel Corp.
