Illinois needs leaders with ethics

What would it take to get people or a government worth voting for?

Consider these points: We have the worst, citizen-unfriendly state constitution in the country. We have the most corrupt, graft-ridden legislature and government officials in the country. We are 48th of 50 in total economic activity. We are the second worst in debt of all 50 states. We are 49th of 50 in number of frivolous lawsuits, and our Supreme Court just struck down the limits on damages awards in such cases.

We lead the nation in numbers of elected officials in jail or on probation for official misconduct. Would it be asking too much to get some qualified ethical people involved? If I were such a person, I couldn't or wouldn't get involved in Illinois politics for fear someone would ask what I do for work and I'd have to answer them.
