Larson has done his best for Schaumburg

In a little bit over a year from now we as residents of Schaumburg will have a chance to vote on the future of Schaumburg with the upcoming election of the Mayor (Village President).

With this much of a time frame or grace period we have the time to do our own homework looking into past growth, expenses and services we have been provided with for many years but due to the poor economy we now are fighting, we find ourselves in a struggle to maintain some of them with their expense.

The recent approval of our new property tax was a huge press issue and concern for many of us residents raising red flags and shouting for change.

We all know that on a national level we not to long ago voted for change, and we must ask ourselves what has changed? Yes, our present Commander in Chief did take on a crisis that was and still is there when he was elected. I must say that I am not happy that our President has become a "jack of all trades, but Master of None".

After much thought and continued concern for our Village, I must still support someone who not only knows the issues but is trying his best for the love of Schaumburg to correct the issues without concern of decisions that are not popular, but correct.

Even though we have much time to make our own decisions, I must continue to support Mr. Al Larson based on his accomplishments, knowledge of city and state government, and the effort he is making to continue to keep Schaumburg known as a premier village.

No one person has all the answers, but I cannot get in a panic mode and vote for change, supporting someone just throwing numbers out as their platform. Growth does and always will have a expense, Schaumburg has grown well but carries a challenge along with many other Villages in which I feel Mr. Larson can and will handle with the Village Board supporting him.
