Trap and move, don't kill coyotes

Wheaton and Glen Ellyn have been talking about hiring a professional trapper to catch troublesome coyotes in the area and kill them. In my opinion it is a good and a bad idea at the same time.

In a positive way, it will help to reduce the number of dogs and cats that have fallen prey to the coyotes, and will also make it safer for children to play outside without fear. At the same time, the negative effect is that once coyotes start getting trapped and killed, killing too many of them will not only change the food chain in the surrounding environment, but will also cause other wild animals to become a nuisance as well.

Predators keep the balance among other animals so there won't be an overcrowding number of them all over the place. One solution to the overpopulation of coyotes is to just trap them and move them off to somewhere else in Illinois.

We have numerous forest preserves all over the state where they can live peacefully. If you wanted to take this into a different perspective, we invaded their territory by tearing down forest areas and fields to build houses and businesses, so now they're moving into our territory because they have no else where to go.

So in this case, I'm against the killing of the coyotes, but I am for the trapping and removal to a different location method.
