Purchase a prom dress for only $20 at sale
The third My Sister's Dress Project is collecting new and almost-new formal gowns and accessories through Friday, March 5, to help financially-challenged young women attend prom.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, in the gymnasium at McHenry County College, 8900 Route 14, Crystal Lake. The project is an opportunity to purchase a dress for only $20. Shoes, jewelry, shawls and gowns will also be available. All proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County.
The following local businesses will accept dress and accessory donations during their own business hours: McHenry County College, Student Life Office A250; Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County, 4318-B Crystal Lake Road, McHenry; and various American Community Bank locations at 381 S. Main St. in Crystal Lake, South Route 31 in McHenry; 1290 Lake Ave. in Woodstock and 10101 Route 47 in Huntley.
