People might get better without 'help'
Accepting that all things in relationships can't be acceptable to the other party is the same as realizing the world is flat and nothing can be done about it, so just move on.
Take this pill if it bothers you, and give it a name, too, so it sounds medical. Anybody you studied in a history book chose another view, and won or lost in the attempt to change what "everybody" knows was unchangeable.
If it wasn't for the big money that government throws to the mental health industry, including the ultimate winner, big pharma every year, lack of results from this resigned viewpoint would end this form of help. People might then actually get better, instead of getting prescriptions, and not be forced to live in quiet desperation when not in a drugged stupor.
