Tournament to combine volleyball, dodgeball

The Schaumburg Park District and National Amateur Dodgeball Association will combine two exciting indoor sports into one thrilling competition with their inaugural Late Night Volley/Dodge Tournament from 9 p.m. to midnight March 20 at the Sport Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road in Schaumburg.

The unique event will feature teams of six to 10 players competing in both sports.

The winning team will receive a $250 grand prize and a paid bid to the 2010 NADA Outdoor National Championships later this year.

Tournament runners-up will receive $125 and a paid bid to the outdoor nationals.

Competing teams will play a minimum three games of volleyball and six games of dodgeball. Teams must have at least two women with a maximum of four men on the court during all games. Only players 18 years old and older are eligible.

The fee is $125 per team. Registration must be completed by March 14. For more information, call (847) 490-7020.
