Stop the plans to kill the coyote

I, too, have coyotes running through my back yard. I, too, have dogs, three to be exact: a senior lab/border collie mix, a 5-year old Boston terrier and an 8-month old pug.

It is the responsibility of a pet owner to protect their pets from harm, not the government. I, too, had young children playing in the back yard - again, it was my responsibility to protect my children from harm, not the government.

The coyotes were here long before humans; it is our responsibility to protect our elderly, children and pets from harm's way, not the government. It is about time we all take responsibility for our actions and not leave it up to somebody else.

If we keep our eyes on the things we cherish most, we will find that the coyotes will notice we are watching and go elsewhere for food.

Please stop the witch hunt. It is more uncivilized for humans to kill an animal for something we have control over than the coyote for doing what is instinctual.
