Elginbull; Someone stole a purse from a shopping cart at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Jewel, 1040 Summit St., reports said.bull; Rungthiwa Ratanatham, 32, of the 1700 block of Fayette Walk, Hoffman Estates, was arrested and charged with possession of a fictitious ID card, a felony, at 1:47 a.m. Sunday at the Grand Victoria Casino, reports said.bull; A stereo and DVD player were stolen at about 12:38 a.m. Sunday from a 1994 Chevy Camaro in the 2300 block of Vineyard Court, reports said. The victim chased a teen from the scene, but he got into a red Dodge Stratus with three other teens and escaped, reports said. No arrests were made. The DVD player was recovered from a snow bank.bull; Someone stole a GPS unit from a 1999 Toyota Corolla in the 600 block of Highland Avenue and broke the car's passenger window and taillights between 7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, reports said.Crystal Lakebull; A Crystal Lake Central High School student spent the weekend in jail after his arrest on a felony charge claiming he slugged a classmate in the face during an altercation on school grounds. Francisco Lopez-Luna, 17, of the 200 block of Uteg Street, faces a charge of aggravated battery stemming from the incident police said occurred about 1:15 p.m. Friday in the school's parking lot. "Both students were in the parking lot when for unknown reasons the offender sought out the victim and there was a fistfight," police Cmdr. Dan Dziewior said. A judge set his bond at 10 percent of $15,000 during a court appearance Monday morning.
