Man guilty in Tank Johnson's bodyguard's murder

A man accused of shooting to death the friend and bodyguard of former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Tank Johnson has been found guilty of the charge.

Michael Selvie was accused in the fatal shooting Willie B. Posey on Dec. 16, 2006 at Ice Bar nightclub located in Chicago's trendy River North neighborhood.

Cook County Circuit Judge Joseph Claps handed down the verdict Friday following a bench trial that stretched over several months.

Johnson, now with the Cincinnati Bengals, testified in October that Selvie and Posey fought after Selvie bumped Johnson several times while he was dancing with a woman. Johnson said the fight continued after he and club security attempted to break it up.

Claps is expected to sentence Selvie next month. The 37-year-old faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
