Motorola sues over stock deal
CHICAGO - Motorola filed suit against two firms in Cook County Circuit Court Tuesday over a three-way stock deal that went awry. According to the breach-of-contract suit filed against Good Technology and Visto Corp., two Delaware corporations primarily doing business in California, Schaumburg-based Motorola was to buy Good stock and transfer it to Visto along with other considerations under a Transition Services Agreement signed by the three firms a year ago. Motorola performed the TSA services with an outlay of $3.8 million, "but defendants have refused to compensate Motorola," the suit states. The suit claims $4 million in damages and also seeks court costs.
