Metra Union Pacific/Northwest line delayed by stalled train
Trains on the Metra Union Pacific/Northwest Line are delayed this morning due to a stalled train near Fox River Grove.
According to Metra, Inbound trains 620, 622 and 624, all scheduled to arrive Chicago between 8:01 a.m. and 8:26 a.m, were stalled in the vicinity of the Fox River Grove depot due to a mechanical problem.
In response, train 620, originally scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:01 a.m., will couple onto train 624, originally scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:26 a.m. The combined train will drop off passengers not going to Chicago at Barrington before running express to Chicago.
Passengers who deboard at Barrington will be picked up by train 628, scheduled to arrive Chicago at 8:36 a.m.
