America could use a real-life Mr. Smith

I just finished watching (again) the movie "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington." If only more of our elected officials emulated James Stewart's character (Mr. Smith) instead of the corrupt Claude Raines (Mr. Payne) character. This movie is a must-see for anyone in or contemplating running for office. It's another Frank Capra classic on a par with "It's a Wonderful Life."
